Invasive Species Fund

GOAL$150,000 per year

From invasive weeds to invasive mussels, we simply have to fund the preventive, research and maintenance that it takes to keep Montana void of these invasive species. Of great concern currently is the mussel. It has reached Montana and we need to fund the check points, K9 Dog program and education to stop the mussel movement in its tracks.

We are teaming with Senator Daines, Governor Bullock, Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Flathead Lake Biological Station and other non-profits and public agencies to prevent invasive mussels from spreading into Montana waters.

In this majestic state the Montana’s Outdoor Legacy Foundation works to conserve intact ecosystems and to sustain wild populations of large ungulates, carnivores, small mammals, numerous species of birds and fish.
